Tony Daussat was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to Rick and Patsy Daussat, and brother Ryan. After a few years they moved to Grapevine, Texas where Tony finished all of his initial schooling.

At a young age his mother, a playwright, convinced Tony to be in a children’s play she was directing. After he was “bitten by the bug” he knew he had to follow his love for performing and pursue a career in acting.

After high school, Tony went to New York City to study acting at Marymount Manhattan College, where he received a BFA in Acting and a Minor in Musical Theatre.

REVIEW Excerpt from THE COLOMN:

The morbid, grotesque, horrifying slapstick comedy award for this season must certainly go to both Tony Daussat as Davey and Jason C. Kane as Donny, the two caught between one dead kitty and one insane pet owner. Like a Laurel and Hardy plan gone terribly wrong, these two masters of sad sack humor handled the extreme physicality of their roles with ease though it looked anything but that. I had to close my eyes a few times but kept listening for that low-lying humor to surface, and it did again and again.”

After the closing of “The Lieutenant of Inishmore,” Tony is excited to begin his next role as Doug in the short film “Next Door”.

The film is about a young man who is battling mental illness starts to believe his neighbors may not be human. His brother, while committed to and supportive of his brother, is convinced his brother is only having hallucinations and becoming more ill.

Mr. Daussat is currently directing: “Psycho Beach Party” and “The Lesbian Vampires of Sodom”

Two fantastic pieces of theatre that are even more outrageous and hilarious than they sound!

Coming in May at OhLook Performing Arts Centre.
